The BDH represents the general commercial, political and technical interests of its total of 56 members. The industrial enterprises under the BDH umbrella manufacture technical building and energy systems that operate on oil, gas, solid bio fuels, regenerative energies and electricity.
The BDH's mission includes doing our part to tap into the building industry's enormous potential for CO2 cutbacks and energy saving. The BDH is holding talks with the government on optimising the general framework for achieving this.
Over and above its involvement in establishing a German and European framework for its goals, the BDH supports its companies when it comes to expanding into and setting up shop in new markets. The association's current projects include improving access to the Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese and North American markets. In opening up the Russian and Ukrainian markets, the BDH is working closely with Messe Düsseldorf, the Ausstellungs- und Messeausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry - AUMA) and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour. The BDH presidency is held by Dr. Heinrich-H. Schulte, managing director of Buderus Heiztechnik GmbH, with Mr. Andreas Lücke acting as the association's managing director.
